How much do you know about young peoples use of drugs and alcohol?
Would you like to know more and RID the myths?
We are seeing an increase in young people from Sunderland using Benzodiazepines.
You might know them as Valium, MSJs, vallies, blues, wobs, eggs, jellies, T10s, T20s, tranx, moggies, benzos. Benzodiazepines are a group of depressant drugs, also known as tranquilisers or sedatives. They are usually prescribed, therefore have been taken away from the person who has been prescribed them or are fake products. They usually come in blister packs, which can make them look legitimate but they are not safe and unpredictable.
We are worried because it is easy to overdose on benzodiazepines it is also easy to become addicted. People taking them can also suffer from lack of coordination, black outs, short term memory loss, tiredness, breathing difficulties, slurred speech, aggression, skin rashes, weight gain, fits/ seizures, vomiting and confusion. Benzodiazepines are more dangerous when mixed with alcohol. If you or a friend needs help to stop sniffing aerosols please contact us.
